MINCE

Mince are a ramshackle indie/post-punk band with influences as diverse as the Doo Wop of the Platters to the noise of Gilla Band. Like a preened British Invasion group who have been photocopied so many times, that the saturation and exposure has made them look ugly and deformed.

“I think they’re great” - Chris Moyles

They mix vintage sounds with noise, drones, scattered rhythms and daggered melodies, for a deafening pastiche only your grandma could ignore. They speak of love, loss and control, but sometimes they just shout. They release their newest single ‘All I Ever Wanted, Was to Be’ on the 16th of June.

“Thank you, Mince” - Steve Lamacq

FLAT MOON

Flat Moon have been making waves in and around the northern music scene for the past couple of years. LUKA 14-04-23 LD-34.jpeg

LUKA

LUKA is a solo artist based in Leeds and London UK. With a distinctive voice and a authentic quirkiness in terms of production and song writing, LUKA is at the beginning of her musical journey and has a great deal of potential.

LUKA's debut single ‘Play Thing’ lives in a stripped back setting. Faint whispers of an instrumental backdrop create a hypnotic atmosphere, but the track’s heartbeat lies in LUKA’s gorgeous synth coated vocals. This simple yet brilliant touch gives ‘Play Thing’ a futuristic, almost extra-terrestrial feel and speaks for LUKA’s unbound creativity'.

DARCIE T

Darcie T, hails from Whittlesey and gained much of her musical taste from her dad who always encouraged her love for music and the way it can make you feel. Darcie started writing lyrics early on in primary school but kept it to herself. Being dyslexic, Darcie  found that writing music and lyrics helped her to expressI her emotions and put them into words. Darcie now uses music and writing as a means to express thoughts and to help to capture different moments in life that all have a lot of meaning.
